Cancelling our Weekly Activities
I hope this email will find you well.
Considering the latest news from the Government we met with the elders of the church and we took the decision to cancel all the activities and events until further notice.
We do want all of you to stay connected to Jesus and His Word. In times like this we need more than ever to stay in His presence to worship Him and pray for the nations. We want to encourage you to connect with others through technology.
We won’t have Sunday Services corporately, but it will be available Livestream. That means on Sunday 10.30am we will have the chance to watch together online the service. I will explain it down bellow, how to get connected with technology.
I want you to be assured that we will do our best to look after your spiritual and emotional needs in these difficult times.
We will find ways for each one of us to stay in fellowship and praying for you.
Paul says in Philippians 4:6-7: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Don’t let this fear or this pandemic control your life. Choose to guard your heart. Choose to focus your mind on what is true in the midst of uncertain times. We may not be in control, but we can trust the One who is. We may not know the future, but we know the God who does.
Now let’s talk practicalities:
Starting with this Sunday we will have the Sunday Services on Livestream.
That means you need to go on YouTube Channel and on the search bar look for KEC Church Centre. The Church channel will appear on top. Click on it and there you will find a video that says “Live“. Click on that and you will be ready to watch it. We will start 10.30am as usual. Be on time! Make a habit of not missing the Virtual Church Gathering. It is important to connect this Sunday and hear feedback so that we can improve. Especially since we have never done our Service this way before.
For our weekly meeting, like prayer groups or Konnect Groups, we can meet together through Zoom app.
If you have a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone you need to download the app called Zoom. It is a blue camera icon.
Go on zoom.us and download it. Once you have it you will get an ID meeting code to join the meeting and everyone who is in that group will be connected. The leaders of your group will send you each time you meet the Meeting ID code. All you have to do is click on Join then enter the ID you received and there you go… Contact the Pastor if you need any help.
Just because we can’t meet physically as a body of Christ it doesn’t mean we cannot worship our Lord through our giving. It’s important to know that we still have 2 mortgages to pay and the Pastor. We need to make sure we keep being faithful with our giving. It’s easy to forget and then completely ignore it after a while.
We prepared ways for you to give.
You have 3 options. Either you write a cheque to KEC Church and send it to 24 Sark Drive, B36 0NU
Or, make a bank transfer and on the reference you put your Gif Aid id number if you have one. Bank details: HSB Bank; Sort Code: 40 16 25 Account Number: 31228021
And the last option is to go online to our website www.kecchurch.co.uk/donations/ and there you have also 3 options PayPal, Standing Form Order or Bank transfer.
We do hope this information will help you and remember we are in this together. You don’t need to bear this alone. Feel free to contact any Elder or the Pastor for support and prayer.
We will send you weekly updates and information. Please connect with our social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) and follow our website for other updates.
